Makerere 73rd Graduands seems to have set the bar way too high. From showing up in choppers for the graduation parties to organizing multi-million graduation parties.
The latest in the Hive shows that a graduand of Makerere only identified as Sharry was thrown a mega graduation party by her parents. The grad party, that happened on the weekend, was so huge that one may have mistaken it for a wedding or an introduction ceremony.
From bespoke, elegant decor to a host of artiste performances, these famale graduand really casually spent someone’s wedding budget on a graduation ceremony.
According to those who attended the graduation party, it is estimated to have cost the family over shs80 million. “The decor, omg! you can not get that for less than shs40 million,” one of the attendants told Campus Bee. She added; “The artiste lineup was creme-de-la- creme. We had Sheeba, B2C among others.” The said artistes do not charge no less than shs5m each to perform in Kampala.
The graduation party was held at Kampala Serena Hotel.
The food, we are told was also extra bringing the total to close to shs80 million.
