Makerere University students have exclusively informed Campus Bee that despite the university’s communication that lectures are going on smoothly, no studies have been conducted yet. The semester officially commenced close to two weeks ago but students have not seen any lecturer to attend to them.
According to Gift Peter, a Makerere University student pursuing a Bachelor’s of Journalism and Communication, the university is still organizing departmental timetables yet they promised to kick off serious lectures this week.
“You can enter the lecture room and get out without receiving any information or like a lecture being carried on. They are just organizing departmental timetables and there’s this thing of slaying around, so people have not yet settled.” Gift narrated.
Another student that goes by the names of Kajobi Vincent from the College of Social Sciences has also narrated that they are still idle.
“According to the program, serious lectures were meant to be for this week may be but still we have not yet started. So we are still waiting may be they are still sorting out some things.” Kajobi said.
