It was low key pomp yesterday April 24, as Makerere University (Mak) Students celebrated 49th birthday of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba – the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations.
Joining the rest of MK Movement countrywide, the students created their ‘little happiness’ at Hall of residence where they, as a custom, had a cake cutting moment wearing wide smiles.
One of the student gave a heartfelt speech on behalf of the MK Movement – Mak Chapter.
“We wish him (Muhoozi) the best, as we wish for him to represent us as our next president,” the student said.
The MK Movement is a campaign pushing for Gen Muhoozi to stand for president in 2026 Uganda elections.
The “birthday boy” Gen Muhoozi flew to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda – alongside other invited dignitaries including Minister Robert Mao and others to celebrate the birthday.
