The new university management portal dubbed ACMIS rolled out by Kyambogo university is causing more harm than good to the students. The latest news Campus Bee is receiving is that there is a lot of confusion at the Banda based university with potential graduands being left out of the graduation lists due to lost marks and payment records after Kyambogo migrated from the Academic Information Management System (AIMS).

A memo to students in the Chemistry Department by its head of department indicates that students whose names are missing on the graduation lists will not be able to graduate on September 21st.
“It is unfortunate that some of you are not on the graduation list yet you have full marks on the portal. This is because by the time the graduation list was compiled, you did not have all the marks. Kindly note that you will be able to get your transcript but you cannot be put on the list now. Time is past,” Dr Nanyonga, the head of the Chemistry Department in a scribbled notice pinned on the rickety notice boards of the university revealed.
On Monday, students staged a mini strike after finding out their names are missing on the graduation lists.
