Yesterday 7th June 2020, we published a story about a one Thelma Garim being accused of rape and HIV/AIDS infections by Ronan Akantorana who shared the whole story on his social media platform (Twitter to be specific)
Akantorana’s story got public attention and very many people, including students that know both parties, reacted to it asking the pulic to stand with the victim and seek justice for him. All this was before Ms Thelma, the Makerere University Business School (MUBS) student said her side of the story.
In the evening Thelma talked about the same issue through her social media platform (Twitter) and denied all these allegations linking her to rape and being HIV positive.
“All this news going on saying that I’m a rapist is so confusing because I don’t know how a girl can rape a man,” she tweeted, adding that Ronan isn’t her type and besides that he’s not that rich to fit her taste.
Thelma went ahead and declared herself HIV negative and the fact that she has never been raped or herself raping anyone. She added on that she will do anything to prove her innocence.
On addition to this, audio messages of Thelma’s ex boyfriend have stormed social media talking about how she is horny and her ultimate love for money and he added on that she could have done this act as revenge to Ronan.
