Now in its fourth year, the Kampala City Festival returns this Sunday October 4, 2015 and promises to be bigger than any other.

This year Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) under their flagship brand, Bell Lager is once again the platinum sponsor for the fourth year running and is injecting UGX150 million towards the success of the event. The brewer has also promised a premium experience for all clients who will access its VIP hospitality tent.

“Bell Lager is staying true its heritage having been part of Uganda and Kampala’s story for the past 60 years. During the festival, we have a lot of exciting activities lined up and since we have the Pop’n Jam concert with Ne-Yo coming up, the experience at the Bell tent will be like no other,” states Robert Nsibirwa, the Bell Lager Brand Manager.

Over two million revelers are expected to attend the 2015 Kampala City Festival, the biggest street party in East Africa. The annual event brings together all City dwellers, stakeholders and bussiness people and focuses on togetherness, one of the city’s oldest and richest cultural ideas.

On this fine occasion, song, dance, food, entertainment, merry making, shopping, culture and diversity are all enjoyed right in middle of the great metropolis.

Mrs. Jennifer Musisi, the Executive Director of Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) lauded Bell Lager’s commitment to the festival having been with it since its inception in 2012.

“We really appreciate our sponsors especially Bell Lager that continues to be part of the Kampala Festival. It is sponsors like you that have made this the biggest street party in East Africa.”

Adding, “Security will be very tight on the day; we also have emergency support teams on standby to ensure that this event is successful.”

The highlights and marvels of the Festival will include floats and costumes and Bell Lager has promised a one of a kind display.

The overriding theme for the 2015 Kampala City Festival is ‘Colour’, to celebrate a part of Uganda’s heritage and long standing traditions of a colorful environment, diversity, lifestyles, materials, food and fabrics.

Additionally, KCCA is spearheading a Green, Sustainability practices drive.  With a sub-theme ‘Eco Fashion’, it is a great addition to this year’s festival. Eco Fashion involves use of eco-friendly materials and techniques that promote recycling and reuse of particular materials.
