It is no secret that Blankets and Wine has firmly cemented its place as the most anticipated event on Uganda’s social calendar.
The highly anticipated 18th edition slated for this Sunday August 20, 2017 at the Lugogo Cricket Oval has even more reason for revelers to throng in large numbers. Not only is the artiste line-up impressive with an interesting blend of musical genres.
For the first time, there will also be a beach at the venue courtesy of Uganda Waragi Coconut variant. Yap, you heard it right. There’s going to be a beach at Blankets and Wine.
There goes a saying that, ‘If you cannot come to the beach, the beach will come to you.’ Yeah, you are right, we just made that up, but you get the idea, right?
Rhona Namanya, the Uganda Waragi Coconut Brand Manager says that the underlying aim is to give revelers an experience of a lifetime.
“Our ambition is to deliver an experience that our consumers will live to remember. During the event, you will have the opportunity to enjoy good music, chill out and feel the sand on your feet, in a beach setting,” she said.
Namanya added that there will be lots of interesting games and activities as well as signature cocktails for consumers on offer at the beach. Also, check out wherever you are seated, you never know. There might just be a Uganda Waragi Coconut hidden underneath your blanket.
So, if you’re torn between going to the beach or attending Blankets and Wine, there is good news for you. The beach will be headed to Lugogo Cricket Oval this Sunday.
