On July 4th, just after the awesome croak & Rhyme, we meet again at the National Theatre to support children suffering from Cancer at Mulago Hospital.
A group of 8 females in their senior six vacation from Mt St Mary’s Namagunga within Hope Flag Campaign under Uganda Child Cancer Foundation have organised a show dubbed “Talent for Cancer”, which is to take place on 4th July at the National Theatre, starting at 10am for only UGX 10,000, all proceeds will go towards supporting children with cancer. The tag line of the event “ If you do it unto a child, you do it unto God” is a deep one that deserves great attention.
On previous occasions, these girls and other friends have made it a habit to visit these children suffering from Cancer at Mulago Hospital and have donated items from toiletries, to simple food stuffs and other items that can be of help to these children. These are just a group of youths who have organised themselves into an organisation just so they can help better the lives of the children suffering from cancer at Mulago hospital.
They have carried out many charity events like the ribbon campaign where they sell purple ribbons, since purple stands for all types of cancer, they sell these purple ribbons at football matches and rugby matches in schools and outside schools at only UGX 500 as a way of creating awareness about cancer. All proceeds from the ribbon campaign also go to the children suffering from cancer at Mulago Hospital.
They didn’t choose to be sick but you can choose to help them, the date is 4th July at National Theatre, 10am. #HFC and #Talent4Cancer are the hash tags you can use to pass on the information to all people in and out of your circle, if you can’t be there, the least you can do is let a friend know about the event. Let’s all be there, let’s join hands to make the lives of the future leaders of tomorrow (children) lead a better life, you know you can, if you can be there.
