Digi Art Fest, which is the biggest youth’s event, will take place next weekend to mark their 7th edition. The event will take place at Design Hub in Bulogobi and as usual, it will celebrate and bring together Illustrators, animators and video gamers in a common group
The event was started by Laurean Ntaate in 2017 and it has grown into the biggest Art and digital event among the youths and Ugandans as well. This year’s edition according to Ntaate will bring closer famous and big names like Loukman Ali, a filmmaker, Raymond Malinga, a Disney director and David Masanso a pioneer in art space among others.
Apart from youths taking part in Play station game competitions, there will be panels with influential digital art specialists talking about different topics that contribute to among many things the growth of the Digital Art industry in Uganda.
This edition will run under the theme story as opposed to last year’s theme that was Digital Art, the next frontier. Last year’s event took place at acacia but because of the collaboration with Design Hub, the event will move to the new venue.
With an Entrance of Shs25,000 for each day, the attendants will also have a chance to access different merchandise that will be on sale at affordable prices with winners in the play station competition taking home Shs300,000 for winner and the 1st runner up taking Shs150,000. The event will happen on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd December.
