A basic phone, a love for Premier League football and an unexpected call: that is how 25-year-old Wasswa Henry’s car-winning story unfolded.
The Butambala resident has won the second brand-new car in the KBET VROOOOM promotion, joining the campaign’s prize winners.
But the news arrived at a painful time. Henry received the call confirming his win just a day after losing his father, bringing an unexpected bright moment as his family mourned.
An English Premier League follower, Henry had been placing his bets using a basic mobile phone. His participation in the giveaway earned him one of the three cars on offer.
According to KBET, one car and three motorcycles remain to be awarded as the promotion continues.
Henry is pictured smiling behind the wheel of the purple KBET-branded car, with the driver’s door open and people looking on.
His story is one of a young man receiving surprising news during a difficult week, with a new set of wheels now part of that story.
