The official kit for the 2026 Tusker Lite Mt Rwenzori Marathon made its debut through a fashion showcase at the Uganda Breweries Limited headquarters in Luzira.
Held on August 6, the event replaced a conventional press briefing with a runway presentation featuring professional models and athletes.
The fifth-anniversary kit retained the marathon’s familiar green colour palette while introducing details inspired by the landscapes and identity of the Rwenzori region.
A commemorative emblem marking the marathon’s fifth edition appeared on the lower-right front of the jersey. Topographic contour lines represented the Rwenzori Mountains, while a rising sun symbolised new beginnings and the spirit of the runners.
The Uganda flag reinforced the race’s national identity, and a pair of elephant tusks acknowledged the support of title sponsor Tusker Lite.

Partner branding on the back included Tusker Lite, KIA, the Ministry of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities, Rwenzori Natural Mineral Water, Britam Insurance, UCC and Explore Uganda.
The jersey was accompanied by a matching cap, bag and water bottle.
UBL Beer Category Marketing Manager Elizabeth Mutamuliza said the commemorative kit represented the marathon’s transformation into a destination race combining fitness, adventure, community, music and social experiences.
Tusker Lite Brand Manager Sandra Againe highlighted the event’s economic importance to Kasese, where hotels, restaurants, transport operators and local entrepreneurs benefit from the arrival of thousands of visitors.
Marathon team lead Amos Wekesa said the fifth edition represented another major stage in the race’s growth in participation, recognition and international appeal.
He also confirmed that every participant who completed their race would receive a special fifth-anniversary medal.
Fik Fameica gave guests an early taste of the planned Neon Rave during the launch, performing his viral hit “Siaka” and encouraging fans to travel to Kasese.
Organisers were targeting 8,000 participants, with runners from more than 20 countries already registered at the time of the kit unveiling.
