It’s a time for festivities and the Bee is raising a glass to a revered belle, philanthropist, writer and super student.
Anita Ayesigamukama is a second year student at Makerere University Business School (MUBS), pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International Business.
Her latent desire to be exceptional incited the choice of a course that would push her potential beyond the boundaries of Uganda.
Anita’s exceptional performances in class are just a tip of an iceberg compared to her achievements outside of it. An empathetic soul with a warm smile – some would say, owing to her obsession with philanthropy.
“I treasure charitable work and it’s my heart’s desire to extend joy to as many as possible. Not everyone is lucky to live a life they cherish,” she affirms.
Anita has backed this fascination by relentlessly supporting ‘Little Lion Hearts’, a humanitarian organization founded to cheer up the less privileged children.
Whilst serving as the Marketing Officer, the organization has continuously executed successful donation campaigns that have put smiles on quite a number of beneficiaries.
Away from the public eye, Anita knows how to have a great time. “I really love swimming, hanging out with peers but of course some alone time never hurts,” she acknowledged.
Anita’s prospects are on being a courageous trailblazer that will inspire more young people.
