As the old saying goes, a good character is real beauty that never fades and as fate might have it. Karen is a living attestation of these, the words of our perspicuous predecessors’ wisdom. But enough jib jab, we are here to talk about Kyambogo’s 1% elite.
Meet Karen Nassanga, a finalist at Kyambogo University pursuing a bachelor’s degree in procurement and an entrepreneur who has spent more time building her own brand than one would actually expect of an average Ugandan student. She is a go getter and to some is considered an extremist in regard to business oriented agendas.
Karen, besides her dashingly good looks and paramountly pulchritudinous smile also works as a part time model for various photography agencies, a make-up guru, fashion expert and occasionally a climate change consultant. She prides herself in her work and all her previous clientele can bear testimony to her splendid work ethics and professionalism.
Amongst the challenges Karen outlined to the hive were balancing work and academia, consistent conflicts of interest, rush orders, impulsive clients, transportation, fluctuations in wholesale market prices and the inevitable gender oppression. Being the strong hearted soul she is, she successfully and majestically gets through it all with out a fringe.
“I encourage all the campusers to breakout of there comfort zones and strive to better themselves and there situations for It is better to fail in originality than to succeed in imitation. A quote that keeps me going by Herman Melville.” Karen concluded.
