 Church ceases to be church without  Jimmy Muhangi, a 3rd year Educ. student at Makerere University. As many take their swag to night clubs, Jimmy takes his to Catholic Charismatic Renewal prayer group. Ears are strained at the sound of his angelic voice as the girls hang on to each word with adoration. Adding salt to the wound is Jimmys unique fashion style; Bitenge with chinese collars coupled with compulsory smartness which leaves girls on tenterhooks in fear of blinking and losing a certain gesture he could make.

Jimmy carries his design ideas with him plus the cloth material he wants not forgetting his peculiarity (words of a literature student) in selecting people who handle his designs.

He recalls a moment when he went for School practice @JOVOC in Mbarara only to be branded with a title “MR SMART”.  A high sense of fashion however comes with a cost as he laments, some students mistake him for a ‘proud hearted’ and expensive dude which is different from the reality.

Leaving fashion aside, Jimmy is a hardworking guy who does video recording & editing on parties.  He is so addicted to the media too as he has laid his hands on some ads like for Profam which runs on Simba fm.

That aside, Jimmy is an ambitious guy that intends to teach at University level after acquiring a Masters in Linguistics and then procure himself a place in any of MAK literature departments. He also plans on not putting his media skills to waste so let’s keep our eyes open.

When asked why he even cares to dress more than medium casual as most teachers, his simple answer was,”Being smart sends a non-verbal communication. How you look determines what you think.”
