At 19 years of age, Dimit Hilda Nakayaga was contestant number 2 in last year’s Miss Uganda pageantry where she was vying for the crown of the finest lady in the land while she in her senior six vacation. She later won the people’s choice award where she walked away with shs1,000,000.
Dimit Hilda Nakiyaga is a first year student at Uganda’s best and oldest university, Makerere University doing a Bachelors in Humanities and Social Sciences.
After leaving high school, Dimit used her savings to start-up a boutique in Wandegeya called ‘Dimit Collection’. She is now a media personality, a commercial model and an actress, “I am an actress and I am apparently featuring in a movie which am not at liberty to mention,” the beauty queen added.
“As a model, my goal is to literally inspire the young girls to believe in themselves, for who they are and not what people want them to be,” she commented.
When we asked her what she is doing to inspire the youth, she said, “I want to be an active member in a number of social and charitable causes.”
Dimit’s personal mission has always been to help young women and girls deal with self-esteem issues. She is a genius in her right owing to the fact that she tries to uplift young people.
