At Muk when it rains, it pours and so for this segment I bring you a true African princess who’s insanely in love with African designs. I personally am obsessed with Lubega Wendy’s style because she doesn’t copy the western world’s fashion sense but embraces her heritage. This is seen with her common caption used on most of her pictures that is #FreshestAfrican.
Because Wendy thinks out of the box, she’s going to be one hell of a fashion designer. So do hire her to dress you because she’s good at it .Many will wonder which stone she came out from but those that follow her blog on facebook, Afro-urban blog will not be shocked but rooting for her. She picked her love for fashion blogging from an amazing London-based fashion blogger called Frederique Tietcheu.
Wendy is a cheecky girl with a tomboy touch, so with every outfit she wears, she has to add a boyish effect to it. Her best outfit is anything denim. Pants, shirts, blazers, shorts but with an embroidery of African fabric.
Every girl has that one fashion accessory they can’t live without. It maybe the golden bracelet or a multiple rings on the fingers but for Wendy, her mac lipstick and geeky nerds are her life. If she ever stepped out of her room without the two, it would be a catastrophe. Boys you may roll your eyes about this, but we girls get hysterical without the smallest things.
Too add to that, Wendy is too cool to follow trends. If she thinks the old-fashioned bell bottomed pants look good on her, then that’s what she will wear. That’s what they call fashion identity. She however has noticed the trend of extended boy shirts around and gives them a couple months before they can get as old as Mary Luswata’s rants.
Like I said Wendy has a blog Afro-urban blog of facebook so do like the page to get updates on this contemporary girl’s creativity. Find her on facebook @ Lubega Wendy.
