Umutoni Monalisa alias Mona Faces, the Queen of eyebrows. Her break through came knocking at her door while she was in her second year at Makerere University Business School, Nakawa.
She drew eyebrows for her close inner circle and these girls were showered with lots of compliments. And well, she was hanging out with very enterprising females who pushed her to extend her horizons beyond the confines of Akamwesi hostel. Before we knew it, the little girl with a humble background was taking Kampala by storm.
When you speak of makeup, her name is sure to pop up. She has worked on several notable people, the likes of Sylvia Owori, Judith Heard, Juliana Kanyomozi, Anita Fabiola, Kleith Kyatuhaire among others. A little bird whispered to me how her art and skill began from Seroma high school.
It’s no surprise that Monalisa is a highly sort makeup artiste as we speak right now. She turned professional in September 2014. What many don’t know about her, is she is a co-founder of Halo Collection. She founded it with Cynthia Nakiranda.
