The Law Development Centre (LDC) has today the 14th day of September 2020 released the admission list for the post graduate bar course for the academic year 2020/2021.
The list that Campus Bee has received however, is only of the students that have been admitted to the Kampala Campus branch.
The other branches include Mbarara Campus and the just opened Lira Campus do not have lists as yet.
According to the announcement, the 1,198 admitted students should only pick their admissions letters from LDC during the scheduled periods provided for in the announcement, all between the 15th to 19th September from the office of the Academic Registrar of LDC.
Different time intervals that have been set account for 7 hours between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm where each student is to pick their admission at a time set out in the list. For clarity, a set of students will pick their admissions between 9-10, 10-11, 11-12, 12-13, 14-15, 15-16, 16-17 hours for the days 15th to 19th depending on where the applicant’s name falls.
It is a health measure, alias standard operating procedures (SOPs) that LDC is adopting in an attempt to fight the spread of the COVID 19 pandemic.
LDC however maintains that students who do not pick their admissions as per the schedule where their name falls “shall forfeit their vacancy”, and that they will be required to produce an identity card to pick their admissions letters.
We have not yet seen the admission lists for the Mbarara and Lira campuses and indication that those slots might be reserved for the new applicants for the second phases of applications.
The publication of the admission lists is a follow up to the announcement that Campus Bee published where LDC announced the schedule for the academic year 2020/2021 after it made a call for applications earlier on.
