MBALE: The Vice Rector, Islamic University in Uganda has urged
students at IUIU to be focused and master the skills in order to fit
in the job market.
Prof. Abdul Kaziba Mpaata, who made the remarks on Tuesday during the
closure of the health week at IUIU, said students are failing to
effectively compete for jobs after graduation because of lack of
skills.
“You should be focused and equip yourselves with skills because
employers look for skills,” he said.
Prof. Mpaata said students have failed to read the current job market
to know that it demands skills not academic credentials only.
The health week included activities like cervical cancer testing,
breast cancer screening and Hiv/Aids testing
