A group of Makerere University students recently released an Android application they had designed for Uganda’s first 3D cinema called 3D Cinema Magic. The group of students who run under the company name of SleekTech Uganda have created a startup to create innovations in Information Technology.
SleekTech is comprised of Katuula Joel, Joel Mwanja, Aine Twesigye, Ntanda Hakim, Leonard Kanyesigye, Derrick wasswa who are pursuing Software engineering, Mugabi Elvis who is doing Computer Science, Tibetegya George who is the designer, pursues Electrical engineering and all are in their 3rd Year at the biggest public university in Uganda. I personally asked them what inspired them to start developing apps and they told CampusBee that they want to make “your day-to-day software problems easy.”
We tested the app and found it pretty handy for those who love movies and cinema since the App shows movies showtimes, descriptions, trailers, and the app also lets you book tickets in advance. The 3D Cinema Magic App helps you cut the struggle of having to go in search of movie booklets or use your precious little airtime to find out when a movie is showing.
With the app you will have all you cinema info in your palm. And on the bright side, you get notified when a movie is on discount or promotion which helps you spend less money. You can also find a full review of the app courtesy of the guys at GURU8.
The 3D Cinema Magic app is available for download on the Google Play Store and you can click here to download the app.
