Makerere University Students Risk Missing Exams as AICMS System Continues to Fault

Makerere University technical team is working around the clock to restore normalcy as regards students’ portals that have lately become inefficient.

The technical glitch has left many students stranded with tuition payments, a prerequisite to doing examinations at the great hill.

The situation was yesterday (April 25) mitigated by the intervention of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe, who directed the in-charge to allow students sit for the exams regardless of their payment status since the system had faulted.

However, the permission was to affect only students who had exams yesterday with hope of the ACIMS system being restored by today. Unfortunately, some students are still experiencing the same challenges and there is a lot of obscurity surrounding the situation.

Beneath is a thread of some complaints from students at the ivory tower;

@DICTSMakerere we having the same issues as yesterday
We kindly request for intervention

Hopefully the mishap will be resolved in time.
