Through their social medial platforms, Ndejje University has shared a notice to all finalists ahead of their return to campus. The notice indicates that all finalists will be required to report on June 7th 2020 while lecturers will report on 8th June.
The communications applies to all Ndejje campuses; Kampala and the Luwero main campus. The information has come following President Museveni’s directive to have all final-year scholars resume with studies after staying home for over two months.
The statement clarifies that all evening students will have to reschedule to either weekend or day programs in a bid to comply with the COVID-19 curfew that was introduced to slow movements that would lead to increased spread of Coronavirus.
“Evening students will have to absorb into either the day or weekend programme for purposes of curfew as per the government directives.” Reads part of the statement.
The university is set to release the academic timetables by Wednesday 3rd June, a day before the reopening of public transport. All finalists will pick timetables from their respective faculties, according to this statement.
The university has further advised all finalists to meet their financial obligations to avoid inconveniences. The university has not released a plan of avoiding COVID-19 unlike other universities that have already alerted finalists on what to be expected.
Universities like Makerere and MUST have already communicated that health guidelines from the Ministry will be observed. Students are expected to wear face masks at campus in addition to mandatory COVID-19 screening and washing of hands back to back.
