The spokesperson of Mountains of the moon University – Brian Wambede left a section of natives in wonder after he revealed that some students at the institution have their lectures under trees.
With this shocking revelation, Mr Wambede attributed the issue to a shortage of infrastructure at the University due to inadequate funding from government.
“We acknowledge there is a problem with teaching space at the university, but we are happy that the interventions that the government has brought in will have an impact to the University,” Wambede told a native television.
The University’s deputy Vice Chancellor Prof John Kasenene roots the challenge all the way to how the university initially started (as a a private) with insufficient resources before it was taken up by government.
The institution now seeks a tune of UGX 5.9 billion supplementary to be able to facilitate the shooting number of students joining the university.
