Police have this morning arrested Mubarak Munyagwa at the Makerere main gate following the 10 day ultimatum given by FDC former presidential candidate Dr Kizza Besigye to President Museveni to have Makerere university opened.
Munyagwa who is the Kawempe MP was as he tried to make his way into the university.
According to the Jackson Mucunguzi the Chief Security Officer Makerere, he believes that MP Munyagwa has only come to the university to cause chaos and should go back to where he came.
“Munyagwa is known for causing chaos, today is not visitation day let him go,” he said.
Some of the other people arrested include Ingrid Turinawe FDC secretary for mobilization, Nyanjura Doreen LC5 KCCA woman councilor Makerere, Harris Justus Akampulira LC3 Councilor Muluka 111 Kawempe division, Segirinya Mohammad KCCA LC5 councilor Kawempe 111 and Simon Wanyera GRC school of education.
The group including the FDC leader had come to the university with a few items such as goats, matooke, bananas and some money which they wanted to donate to the university.
