Makerere University Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration) Prof William Bazeyo has today 8th October 2020 submitted his resignation from the mentioned position to the Makerere University appointing authority.
According to a statement he shared amongst his colleagues that Campus Bee has seen, the former Dean of the School of Public Health noted that he has resigned for personal and family reasons.
“I greet you all. I am writing to inform you that today 8th October 2020, I have submitted my resignation from the Position of Ag DVC (F & A) to the appointing authority. I have done this for personal and family reasons and it takes immediate effect. I have also withdrawn my candidature from the on going Search process for the Substantive position of DVC (F & A).” part of the statement reads.
The award winning Professor is a physician, public health specialist, academic, researcher, and academic administrator who has been the deputy vice chancellor in charge of finance and administration at Makerere University since September 2017.
More reports coming in indicate that Bazeyo has decided to resign following “a lot of stress from working for people that don’t appreciate,”
“The tress was too much working for people that don’t appreciate. He will concentrate on his projects.” An insider, who preferred to remain anonymous revealed.
The grant in question was offered by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) under the US President’s Emergency Plan For AIDS Relief (PEPFAR).
