Mukisa Joshua William, the third year Makerere University law student that went missing during examinations time, has been found. The student, who was a former guild aspirant on the People Power ticket, went missing over two weeks ago with more than three of his promotional exams still pending and had not been recovered for all this time.
According to his fellow residents of Lumumba Hall that have made direct contact with him after resurfacing earlier yesterday, Mukisa was found dumped near a swamp but were unclear about how he was found or who tipped them about it. He was also found with several scars and marks of physical beatings spread all over his body. The students also admitted that he was visibly weak and could not speak.
On top of that, it is said that doctors at Mulago, where he was first admitted suspected poisoning and sent him to the Bombo Military Hospital where tests for poisoning are going to be conducted. The Police, that had a missing persons case filed on behalf of the student, have not yet released a statement about him.
Mukisa went missing on June 17th amid end of semester examinations that ended on June 1st. The university, police, his family and friends have all been in panic as none was in the know of his whereabouts. His colleagues in Lumumba Hall said that he had been receiving threats after the election, from unknown people that wanted him to denounce his allegiance to People Power.
